Foster Program
for Dogs & Cats
What You Provide:
- A safe, comfortable, warm place in your home or (depending on the type and size of the animal) a safe, warm, comfortable place outside with good shelter and a secure enclosure.
- The loving, positive interactions with people that so many animals need before going to their forever homes.
- Introduction to common things that most pets are familiar with. Some dogs, for example, have never used steps or walked on a leash.
- Regular opportunity for exercise, especially for younger/larger dogs.
- (If you choose this option) Nursing care for a sick animal. This might include administering medications, making sure an animal has a quiet place to rest, transporting the sick one to a vet appointment.
